Our History

Weatherford Direct as a concept started in Odessa, Texas in 1988. At that time Production Oil Tools created a wholesale operation to supply packers, bridge plugs and cast iron products to downhole service companies in the Permian Basin region of Texas. EVI Oil Tools purchased Production Oil Tools in 1993 and continued to grow this great business venture.

EVI became Weatherford in 1996, and in 2002 the Weatherford Direct name and logo were created to help promote our wholesale concept on a global scale. In 2003, we opened up our location in Edmonton, Alberta to service the Canadian downhole service market. 2009 brought another step in our growth, as we added the Weatherford slickline distribution center in Broussard, LA to our team. Business development agents were also set up in Dubai and Singapore to support our global quoting and sales division. Most recently, we’ve added a new location in Fort Worth, Texas in 2011.

Our Future

Customer service is our main goal at Weatherford Direct. Our team has over 275 years’ experience in the industry. Our Odessa branch is located in a 30,000 square foot warehouse with a multi-million dollar inventory. Our Edmonton branch is located in a modern 7500 square foot warehouse with inventory suited for the Canadian marketplace. All locations service customers throughout North America and operate 24/7. Safety and employee development are both key to our operating practices.

Weatherford Direct supplies genuine Weatherford made products. We have access to manufacturing plants globally, of which many are ISO certified and situated in the United States. We have the ability to search within the entire “Weatherford World” for specific wholesale items that might not be immediately available in our warehouses.
